Major Congrats to our school’s debating team who travelled to St. Michael’s College, Listowel, whereby they had the challenge to oppose the motion “Should alcohol companies be allowed to advertise on social media platforms?” The team composed and articulated some very good arguments along with rebutting their opponents convincing claims. The students succeeded in the debate and are now through the final round of the SAFER initiative competition. Well done to all and to teachers Ms Sinead Leahy, Mary Ellen O’Keeffe and Mr John Flynn
