Well done to the First Year Boys Basketball team who have qualified for the Southwest Regional semi finals following the conclusion of their League games, after defeating Colaiste Mhuire Askeaton and Desmond College . They will have an away quarter final with the hope of reaching regional finals day on March 24th.
Tuesday
Two super performances today from our first and second year girls basketball teams who played Coláiste íde Dingle today. The first years had a comfortable win with top scorers Willow Molloy and Emma Diggin putting in a ferocious effort on both sides of the court. Highlight of the game was a 3-pointer from Grainne Maher in the 3rd quarter.
The second years also did well against a physically strong Dingle team. Both teams are now one game away from qualifying for regional quarter finals.
Wednesday
Our golfers were back on the driving range @ Ballybunion Golf Club yesterday practicing their swing. Many thanks as always to Brian for facilitating this.
Thursday
Our Junior camogie girls were out in action today in the Kerry junior shield against Pres Listowel. A great display of hard work and skill got the win for the girls and has put them into the final. Thanks to Ballyheigue G.A.A. for the use of the pitch.
Friday
Well done to the Causeway CS U17 football team who today drew with Gaelcholaiste Ciarrai on a score of 6-10 a piece. It looked to be a game where Gaelcholaiste would triumph with a strong first half giving the Tralee school a substantial half time lead. To Causeways credit they really got stuck in for the second half and produced a great comeback to level the game on the stroke of full time.
Training continues next week with Round 3 due for St Patrick's week.
