Congratulations to Grace Diggins (5th Year) on her outstanding achievement in being awarded a Gold Medal at The Young Economist of the Year 2026 (YEOTY) competition, which was held in UCD on Tuesday. This is a remarkable accomplishment, particularly given that the award was earned from thousands of entries nationwide.
Grace’s project which examined the housing crisis and whether government interventions have effectively addressed the issue, demonstrated exceptional insight, rigorous research, and strong economic analysis. This is a truly impressive achievement, and we are immensely proud of her success! May thanks to Grace’s teacher Ms Katie Lane for her support.
