Please note that that new Child Protection Procedures for schools 2025 have been published and all schools have until December 2026 to update their policies and procedures.
Please note the following for Causeway CS :
- Staff and Management have completed All day Child Protection Training relating to the new Child Protection Procedures for Schools 2025. This took place on Dec 2nd 2025.
- Parent Council have been briefed on the new Child Protection Procedures for Schools 2025
- Board of Management have been briefed and will be undertaking Child Protection Training in early 2026.
- Student Friendly Child Safeguarding Statement have been completed and placed various places in the school .
- The new recording documentation is now in place.
- The final aspect is the Child Safeguarding Statement and Risk Assessment will be competed and passed by the Board of Management in Feb 2026. (school have until December 2026 to have this ratified by their Board of Managements)

- A hard copy of the Child Protection Procedures 2023 is available in the school office along with the Child Protection Procedures for School 2025 document.
