This page relates to the new Junior Cycle SPHE (Social, Personal, and Health Education) programme which has been rolled out to school since 2023. In this page we have provided information to help parents/guardians about the detail of this new programme. SPHE is a very important element of the school curriculum. SPHE covers a wide range of learning outcomes under four main strands:
- Understanding Myself and Others,
- Making Healthy Choices,
- Relationships and Sexuality,
- Emotional Wellbeing.
These strands equip students with many of the skills and knowledge needed in today’s world.
